Art on the River is a festival of fine art and fine craft featuring work from regional artists. Unique hand crafted art will
be displayed in the rustic River Lodge on the banks of the Northeast Cape Fear River.
Juried artists from North Carolina and around the south will have their original work for sale, including painting, prints,
photography, fibers, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, and glass.
For 2006, 35 artists have been chosen to display their current work. The Mad Boar Restaurant will offer a catered lunch
to festival goers, who will also be able to enjoy beer and wine served by the River Landing Pro Shop. Civic groups will also
be promoting local efforts to build the arts community locally.
